Saikoy Sushi & Ramen: Food Review
Hello again!
So, also on Sunday, I went to this amazing ramen place in Tehama Ridge, TX. It was amazing! It was my first time trying authentic ramen. The place was small but cozy. Also, the kitchen looked quite original; we could see part of it from our seats.
I ordered one of the shiou ramen, but I can't quite remember. I do remember it had a white, silky-smooth broth. My friend and I had to take our meal to go as we were in a rush; we ended up having an inside picnic. It was delicious and fun.
I also got the takoyaki. It was soft and flavorful. It was also quite spongy; I thought Takoyaki was supposed to be chewy. It had a sauce I don't know about, but it was so good. 10/10 on the takoyaki.
Now, as for my ramen, it was also so delicious. It had tea eggs, corn, bamboo shoots, and spring onion. The broth was smooth and rich. Sadly, I think it had some kind of dairy, as it triggered my IBS a bit. Now, I won't deduct points because of that, I should have asked prior to ordering. However, I did enjoy my friend's broth more. She had a level two spice broth with no dairy in it. The noodles were the perfect texture and length as well. I rate my ramen an 8/10, and my friend's a 10/10
Below will be the menu. What would you choose?
